Their road running shoes are split into two categories: neutral and support. Any Brooks Running Shoes with GTS, means they have extra stability built into them. In case you’re wondering, GTS means ‘Go-To-Support’. The Brooks Glycerin Max Running Shoes are Brooks’ pinnacle daily mileage option. Featuring DNA Tuned cushioning, this max-cushioned model offers an exceptionally soft and energetic underfoot experience. This makes the Glycerin Max suitable for a wide range of paces and distances. The Glycerin 22 and Glycerin GTS 22 Running Shoes also feature DNA Tuned cushioning, but the stack-height is lower in comparison to the Glycerin Max. Not everyone likes running in ultra-stacked midsoles. This means you can experience the high degree of comfort that DNA Tuned cushioning offers, but in a more traditional midsole construction. As mentioned above, GTS means ‘Go-To-Support’, so you should choose the Glycerin GTS 22 Running Shoes if you’re looking for extra support for your feet and ankles. You can also opt for the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24 Running Shoes if you need more support - as this model also features Brooks’ GuideRails® support system. The main benefit of this holistic support system is that it only kicks in when you need it. Think bumpers at a bowling alley - the GuideRails® structure works in a similar fashion. While it helps guide your feet and ankles, it also helps guide your knees and hips. It’s worth noting that the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24 Running Shoes aren’t as cushioned as the Glycerin GTS 22 Running Shoes. This is because the Adrenaline GTS 24 Running Shoes features DNA LOFT v3 cushioning. Although this nitrogen-infused foam offers great protection, it feels firmer than DNA Tuned. As a result, the Adrenaline GTS 24 Running Shoes are likely to suit runners who prefer a responsive underfoot feel. The same can be said for the Ghost 17 Running Shoes. This model features the same DNA LOFT v3 cushioning as the Adrenaline GTS 24, delivering a protective, yet responsive sensation underfoot. Designed as a neutral shoe, the Ghost 17 is ideal for runners seeking a smooth, balanced ride that adapts well across a range of paces. Unlike the Glycerin Max, the Ghost Max 2 don’t feature an ultra-high stacked midsole. However, the midsole is very different to the standard Ghost, and it is likely to feel more cushioned. The key technology to talk about in the Ghost Max 2 is the GlideRool Rocker. Importantly, this curved heel-to-toe geometry should help you move from landing to toe-off with great ease and efficiency - especially if you have tight calf muscles or ankle joints. The Brooks Road Running Shoes range at Run4It is rounded off with the Hyperion Max 3. Designed for runners who want to make fast paces feel easier, it features a lightweight construction and a nitrogen-infused midsole that offers both responsiveness and protection. The Hyperion Max 3 is ideal for steady and tempo efforts, but also performs well over long distances - especially at harder intensities. A great option for those mixing up paces in training or chasing quicker sessions. We also stock Brooks Trail Running Shoes at Run4It: the Caldera 8 and Cascadia 19 off-road running shoes. The Caldera 8 Running Shoes offer excellent cushioning, support, and grip for mixed-surface trail runs and long distance runs - making this model an ideal choice for ultra distance events. In contrast, the Cascadia 19 are optimised to perform on rocky terrain and technical trails. This is largely because the midsole and outsole construction are inspired by mountain goat hooves. We just don’t recommend scaling cliff faces in them.
